What Is Pat's Promise?
If you've bought sunglasses from Sunglass World, you've probably heard the name — but you might not know the whole story behind it. Pat's Promise is our in-house commitment to every customer: free lifetime cleaning and adjustments on your sunglasses, automatically included with every eligible purchase at no extra cost.
Named After a Founder, Not a Marketing Team
Sunglass World was founded in 1984 as a family-owned business, and Pat's Promise is named after one of the company's founders. It's not a slogan someone invented for a campaign — it's a reflection of how the store has operated since the beginning: take care of the customer after the sale, not just during it.
What Pat's Promise Covers
Every eligible pair of sunglasses purchased at Sunglass World comes with:
- Free lifetime cleaning at any of our 15 locations
- Free lifetime adjustments to keep your fit comfortable as your glasses see regular wear
Pat's Promise does not cover smart glasses or damage caused by misuse. For those situations, our team can still help — see our repair services and parts and services pages for what's available.
You Don't Even Need to Have Bought Them Here
One of the things that surprises people most: you can stop into any Sunglass World location for a free cleaning or adjustment, even if you didn't buy your sunglasses from us. Our team would rather help you keep the pair you love in good shape than see you struggle with a pair that doesn't fit right anymore.
Why It Matters
