2. First 6 Months: We Get You Back in the Sun

For a qualifying warranty issue during the first six months, we will exchange your sunglasses from available in-store stock whenever possible—so you are not left waiting on a lengthy warranty process.

3. Months 7–24: We Handle the Manufacturer Claim

After six months, Sunglass World helps manage the manufacturer warranty claim for you. You do not have to figure out forms, shipping, or who to call. We handle the entire process for you and keep you informed all along the way. This generally leads to a much faster turnaround time to get you back in your glasses.

Pat Adolf helped build Sunglass World around one simple belief:

In 1984, Pat and her husband, Dr. John “Doc” Adolf, opened Sunglass World with a small kiosk at Bel Air Mall in Mobile, Alabama. What began as one location grew into a company serving communities throughout the Southeast—but Pat’s standard has never changed.

    Bring your sunglasses to any Sunglass World location. Our team will inspect them, locate your purchase information, and help with the next step.
  2. Do I need my receipt?
    A receipt is helpful, but we can often locate your purchase through your customer information. That is why it is important that we have your correct email address, phone number, and ZIP code.
  3. What happens during the first six months?
    For qualifying warranty issues, we will exchange the sunglasses from available in-store stock whenever possible.
  4. What happens after six months?
    Sunglass World helps manage the manufacturer warranty process for qualifying issues through the end of the two-year Promise period.
  5. Does Pat’s Promise cover scratches?
    No. Scratched lenses are not covered.
  6. Does Pat’s Promise cover lost or stolen sunglasses?
    No. Pat’s Promise is not loss or theft protection.
  7. Are all brands included?
    Most qualifying purchases are eligible, but Cartier, Ray-Ban Meta, and Oakley Meta are excluded.
